NOSTRILS ON THE BUS

I don't think I've updated at all this winter break, but it's not like I've been doing much. My life has started to revolve and Phineas and Ferb, which is probably a bad thing, but I'm having fun so whatever.

Christmas was nice, but small and quiet this year. The only decoration we put up was a wreath, and that was just because my dad won it as a door prize at the company party. We didn't even put up our tree. James and I (well, mostly me) baked a couple batches of cookies and drove around on Christmas Eve delivering them to his friends, so at least that happened. And I had a nice Christmas with Sam too, she gave me Blu-Rays of Monsters Inc and the Pixar Shorts and I bought her Adventure Time action figures, and we watched holiday specials of our favorite cartoons on Netflix and decorated cookies with her sister. For Christmas day with my family, we made brunch and then Tim and Aidan came over in the evening and we had shrimp and salmon for dinner and opened presents. Mom got me Blu-Rays of Despicable Me and The Incredibles, Tim and Aidan got me a Firefly shirt, and James bought me a Perry the Platypus wall clock from Toys R Us. I'm still looking for the perfect place to put it. Tim and Aidan and James and I went to Blockbuster and watched Captain America together while eating a lot of candy. And since none of us were doing anything and we kept talking about how movies would look better on Tim's hi-def TV, we went over to his house the next day to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 and Tron Legacy. We went to La Grand deli for lunch and I got a sandwich that had fried chicken strips and provel cheese with hot sauce, it was amazing.

The day after that was more family time, because all of us had to go to our grandparents' farm to help them move into an apartment in Columbia. We had to get up at 4 in the morning, then drove over to Tim's house so we could take two cars down there to carry everything. Tim and James and I ate donuts and laughed at talk radio, and when we turned on actual music radio Taylor Swift was playing and we all sang along to You Belong With Me. We drove down country roads behind a prison bus and listened to Walk the Dinosaur. When there wasn't enough packing to do at the farm, we sat on the porch swing together and made dad push us, and hid in the basement to take naps on the spare furniture. The dream team had to split up for the drive to the new apartment because Grandma wanted me to ride with her, but we were reunited again just an hour and a half later. We carried boxes and furniture and unpacked for a while, then the three of us drove to the gas station because I had been laughing so much that day that I kept getting hiccups, and sour candy is the best cure I know. By the time we got back to the apartment, my aunt had came back from the store with fried chicken, the first real meal we'd had in the twelve hours we'd been awake. Not many exciting things happened after that, mostly more unpacking and me falling asleep whenever I sat down for more than a minute because it had been such a long day. It was such a fun day too, though, I love getting to spend that much time with my brothers.

blu-rays are the ray of the future, christmas, sam, phineas and ferb is my life now, family, my brothers are the best
