Writing Wednesday: Gloves Off update

Dec 14, 2011 23:51

I've been doing some work on Gloves Off lately. The last time I drew a character map was in June, so I tried creating a new one last night. It's grown in some ways (Magna-Man now has connections besides Dr. Parasite!) but there are still a lot of holes left to fill in.

*Noel, the fire elemental, needs a last name.
*Harrison's dog needs a name.
*Michael needs a family, and a background with someone besides Jamie.
*I need to decide if the android Dana Wainwright is an original creation or if she's based off a real girl, and who commissioned her to be built.
*The character of Viper/Criminal Zero is vague, as is her relationship to The Masked Asp/Warren Salazar.
*Salazar's relationships with everyone need to be worked on, including Alex and Audra, Romi, and Silas.
*Expand on the talking animals. Where did they come from? Are they independent, or the pets of other characters? What are all of Calico's past lives?
*Who are the other heroes, villains, and important figures of this city? I'm developing a reporter right now, but the more fleshed-out this world is, the better.

And that's less than half of the backstory questions I need to answer. I didn't do much answering this week, but I know where I need to go next with this story. I'm busy with Christmas stuff (and I've barely unpacked my things from the dorm), so I'm not sure how much writing time I'll get in the next few days, but I'll try!
