Writing Wednesday: The Asp Rises

Aug 18, 2011 23:55

I spent yesterday cleaning and last minute shopping and other "oh snap school starts next week" activities and forgot what day it was, so I gave myself an extra day to write something. All I did was a few lines of notes, mostly just writing down things I was already thinking, but progress is progress.

The legalization of superheroes and supervillains happened about 25 years before the narrative begins.

Criminal Zero was a woman.

Warren Salazar had a close connection to her. Mother, sister, wife, friend, someone he admired from afar, I don't know yet. She inspired him to become the supervillain known as The Masked Asp.

He had some something against the four leaders: the Mayor, the Scientist, the Economist, the Police Chief. It might be some sort of vengence, or maybe he just wants power over them.

He kidnaps, harms, or otherwise manipulates their children.

The Mayor was Magna-Man's mom.

The Scientist is related to Micheal somehow.

The Economist was Alexander's father, I think.

The Police Chief is related to either Silas or Ladykiller.

(I'm still working this bit out, it's highly subject to change. I like Magna-Man being the son of the mayor, though.)

Alexander and Audra worked as hired minions to the Masked Asp when he was rising to power. Maybe they wanted to overthrow him. Maybe he thought they were too good of villains and would rival him. Whatever the reason (I'm working on it!), he wanted them broken up and emotionally destroyed, and he took their baby. So that's where Romi went.

writing wednesday, writing: notes, writing series: gloves off
