I Live!
Yeesh, it's been a long time since I've posted anything...Though that's not entirely my fault. I've been busy with work and homework, so, combined with having little to say, I haven't posted much. =P
And now, because I feel like it, here's some random YGO-themed ramblings.
-- Saw the last episode yesterday. 'Twas sweet and sad, like the manga ending. I still say they should have let them hug, though. =P
-- I'm kinda iffy on the ending footage. I think the manga probably did it better; showing them as a group, in a kind of bittersweet way. But I still kinda liked the way the anime did it. *Shrugs* Probably because I didn't think to compare them until after the fact.
-- Also saw the preview for YGO DM GenX. As I see it, this has the potential to be good, but I'm fearing that it's going to be bad. For one, they're ditching the entire established cast. For another, with the Sennen Items destroyed and the Pharaoh passed on, they'll almost certainly drop the Ancient Egyptian/magical side of things, which was one of my favorite things about YGO. I'll still watch at least a few episodes before I make my final judgment, but I'm not getting my hopes up too much...
-- I got Box 8 of the YGO HK disks a little while ago...I'll divide this by arc:
Doma:
-- Ending of Doma = cute Puzzleshippyness. ^^
-- Is Dartz' seiyuu Suzukaze Mayo? I wonder...'cause as I was listening to him, I finally placed why his voice sounded familiar: he sounded like Kenshin! Now, that's just weird...
KC Grand Prix:
-- Joy, another filler arc...though, this time it's a tournament-centered one.
-- I can't decide whether I like or dislike Kaiba's infamous white suit...Something about it just seems weird...yet, he does look good...Well, he always looks good, but still...[/Kaiba-fangirl]
-- And Rebecca went back to her little kiddie look for some reason. That's too bad; I think she looked better in her Doma outfit/hairstyle. She looked more mature.
-- On the matter of Rebecca, I must admit that I rather like her. I have no idea why, exactly, but I do. ^^;;
-- Vivian...Dear Ra...Well, at least now we know that the artists/writers are well aware of the fangirls populating YGO's fandom...O_o
-- And when Yugi's all blushy and embarrassed (when Mokuba's drawing attention to him), he's so cute!
-- No Mai = -10 points. Honestly, people...after the way you massacred her character in Doma, you could at least bring her back and repair some of the damage...
-- Seig = Utena wannabe. That's all there is to it. At least he didn't have a girly voice...^^;;
-- Though, I do like his cards; Valkyries and Goddesses...gotta love them!
-- And Sugoroku dueling Jou was just amusing. ^_^ Including the fact that everyone else had recognized him, except for Jou.
Ancient Egypt:
-- It's about time! And I love the church scene at the beginning of episode 199. It's just pretty~.
-- Young!Sugoroku is just cool. That's all there is to be said. ^_^
-- Also, I love the scene where Yugi runs into Yami no Bakura in that dark, rainy alley. There's just something appropriate about that...
...And some Gundam Wing, too..
-- Yay for nostalgia. I really missed this series. ^_^
-- Also, the fact that it has some really good music helps, too. ^^
-- Now, I just wish that Netflix had more than just the first 5 volumes. =P I want the other half, darn it. I guess I'll have to look for it elsewhere...
Well, I suppose that's about it...I have to go to work in a little while, and I have other things to do, so I guess I'll wrap this up. ^^;;
