Firstly, new livejournal:
add it please! As well as a new screenname and email: Vacant3x5 and Vacant3x5@netscape.net.
Ventura was by far the best Warped experience for me among the other two.
My Chem from behind the stage.
We got there around 6:30 and the trucks just started to pull in. The
security guards said they were late. After a couple hours of waiting,
the woman giving out wristbands found us on the list and let us in to
cater. We saw Sarah and John there cuz they slept there haha good
times. We served breakfast to the bands, and the catering people
introduced me to Gerard again, and he remembered me woohoo. Not the
most interesting person though :-/. We also met his body guard, which
proved to be very helpful later.
Shawn, the lead singers to The Matches got breakfast and remembered me
from Long Beach. "You better not miss us again today!" He's so cool ahh.
So we served breakfast and then me and Sarah and John wondered around
and were able to see Senses Fail on the side of the stage with the
passes we got. But when John tried to get up they wouldn't let him, cuz
he needed to be escorted. Sarah and I felt bad, so we got off stage,
and then I saw Shawn again. He started talking to me, and then as he
was about to leave I asked if he could escort us back onstage. "Sure!
Ofcourse." When the guard wouldn't let him he was like "let them the
fuck up." And so he did and it was awesome. Shawn is amazing, he
watched with us for a while then left:
We saw Waking Ashland as well.

John on the side of the stage with Sarah for The Starting Line. hehehe I love these kids.
The Matches ofcourse were incredible.
Shawn!
After their show I went to their booth to buy a shirt, and Shawn was
there. He was so funny, he made me try on a shirt and then was very
serious in finding one that he thought would look good. He made me look
at a few more then decided on one for me and gave me a discount. He
told me he would see me at dinner.
Before dinner as we were setting up, Sunny (or Sonny?) in From First To
Last was standing the first in line. "You hungry?" I ask. "Dude, I
haven't eaten anything all day! And I'm first in line! I'm never first
for anything, and I've been waiting for a half hour. But I have an
interview soon so I hope I get to eat before it." Then he keeps lookin
at me. "What's wrong?" ... "I kinda like your sweatshirt." ...
"thanks." ... "Can I try it on?" ... "Sure." So I take it off and give
it to him. He puts it on, asking where I got it and for me to take a
picture.
So there is Sunny in my sweatshirt. He said he liked it alot and wants to get one. haha
Then Shawn got his food and literally leaped over the salad to give me
a hug. He told me if I finished working while he was still eating to
come sit down with him. So I got my food and got to eat with him. "So
you work all day, and the pay off is you get to miss all your favorite
bands and get the left over carbs?" Ah I love that guy! After the whole
thing ended, we were talking to his tour manager, and the manager got
Shawn from the bus to say goodbye to us, and Shawn gave me his email
address "gimme an email please!" Ahh so cool. And the catering people
want us to work next year, so that's sweet as well.
Getting on the side of the stage for My Chem was the most crazy
experience ever. There was like 50 people swarming trying to get on,
and the stage manager picks the band's family members and such. But
Gerards guard recognized us, and literally had to lift us up above the
crowd to get us on. But it was amazing and so much better than being in
the crowd.
Oh and while I was laying on the grass waiting for Bert to play with
the drumming people, I feel this big thud on my foot, so I look up, all
annoyed, to see Bert looking at me with this face as if to ask if his
make up looks okay. I laugh and nod, and he goes "good." He looks
around for the towel he had to wipe off his hands, so I toss it to him,
he wipes off his hands, then tosses it back at me and hits me in the
face. He laughs and then jumps on stage to play. Jepha was there
too so I got to talk to him, and Bert's gf who is so sweet. Jepha would
always stop to give me a hug and say hi even when he was on the phone.
Most amazing days ever. Thanks Olga!
I'm also going to Paris tomorrow for a whole month with Dhruv and
