I haven't been in the mood for posting anything lately, but maybe If I churn some stuff out right now I'll feel better.
Yesterday morning almost turned into a fiasco, mom couldn't find her car keys. Turns out they were in the trunk's keyhole. Just there, sticking out. All night. We had a good laugh about it, figured that everyone was too tipsy on St. Patrick's day to realize this car was ready for the stealing.
Also yesterday I got up and went to class, and was reading for a good 30 minutes before someone came over and told me that class was canceled today. I look at the flyer on the door and sure enough, no one is meant to be there. I though the note was meant for the class before ours... whoops.
I think it just runs in the family.
There was nothing to do at home, so I went to the mall. Stepped inside Hot Topic for nostalgia's sake. Years ago I told myself I would never buy anything from there again, and I was actually doing pretty well. But I saw Chowder and Flapjack shirts and I... couldn't help myself. I NEEDED THEM. Total was almost $50, those moneygrubbers.
Also went to Dick Blick, bought a new sketchpad, this one smaller/more portable. As much as I love my Holbein drawing book, whipping out a 12x9 book everytime I see something interesting isn't very practical. I wanted a new sketchbook for the spring, but I didn't find any I REALLY wanted, so it looks like its still the green one for now. Also got some jelly jars, to keep water in while I do some on-the-go painting (plein air? I dunno).
Leaving for class soon; I have another Mandarin/Anthropology exam today. TWO MORE MONTHS.
