round 5

Coraline 3D makes a final return and I wasn't aware of it until now? HOLY CRAP, I'm going to have to see it again. I never got to fully immerse myself in the 3D the first time around, but now that my contact problem is taken care of (I can see in both eyes again!), I've regained my depth perception. I'm hopping on the first bus to the mall once class is over tomarrow. B) ONE LAST TIME, WITH A BANG. At least until the the next wave of animated features starts up in what, 2 weeks?
Speaking of which, I BETTER GET A TRAILER OF THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG WHEN I GO SEE MONSTERS vs ALIENS/UP. RRRR.
I asked my mom if she wanted to go with me, but her reply was, "Denielle, just wait until it comes out on video". Ahuh ;_;

Also apparently today is St. Patrick's day, I'm sure everyone was already aware of that, I just wanted this as an excuse to post a story from my childhood. This happened 2 years in a row in elementary school.

Kid: *comes up and pinches* You're not wearing green! :D
Me: What? Yes I am. I have green eyes. B)
Kid: That doesn't count. :( *walks away*

I TOOK ALL THE FUN OUT OF THE HOLIDAY. Good going little me. Even back then you drove people away.

Watching the morning news, they did a little segment of a college in Ireland (the name escapes me and I don't feel like Googling), the one that has the Kells book in its library. During which they show snippets of a trailer for "The Secret of Kells", which I JUST found out about. Turns out its a European animation, in the same vain as Nocturna, I guess. I want to see it. I really liked Nocturna (and the backrounds. And Cat Shepherd).

Also, this might be my imagination, but the way the art's directed, there's a lot of patterns and detail everywhere. Was I the only one reminded of The Thief and the Cobbler? I should watch that again soon, too.

Anyway, class at two. Still reading Let the Right One In. HAKAN NOOOOO ;_;

animation appreciation, omgyay
