Me: I haven't seen Mat [old evil resident housecat] in a while. Do you know where she went?
Mom: No, I don't know. You're going to have to find her.
So I return next door...
*10 minutes later, there's a knock on the door. I didn't see my mother, I was in another room*
Mom: Denielle, Mat's dead. I found her in the street. Come look at her.
Me: What? I know you're most likely bluffing to make me get up, but I also don't want it to be true.
*she's at the door holding Mat, smiling*
Mom: Surprise! She was sleeping in the room. I had to call her name many times before she got up. She's so old. :D
Me: *shuts door*
Mom: No, I don't know. You're going to have to find her.
So I return next door...
