We got up on Sunday Morning, had breakfast at the complimentary buffet and set out to find the friend of a friend, who is in the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Federation of Singapore. He told me to meet him in "Sculpture Square." I could not find Sculpture Square on the internet, or any maps that we had in the room. I was sure I had seen it on the computer at home, but figures I could just find it again in Singapore. Wrong! I asked the Concierge to find it, but he was not familiar with anyplace named that. He looked on the internet and gave us some vague direction. I knew that Jon, who I was looking for, was selling items at a flea market to raise money for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing programs. We walked to a place about 5 blocks from the hotel. Neither of my parents walks too well anymore. My Dad was a wheelchair, while my mom, friends and consultants Larry and Mary, and I walked. We got to a corner where it might be, but saw what looked like a sale from a store, that had been brought out to the street, so we kept walking. About a block down we could see booths and thought that might be what we were looking for. We went there and there were many different booths selling all kinds of things. The end we were at specialized in flowers, with some herb healers and food booths thrown in. Larry went farther into the farmer's market and found clothing booths and hardware booths. Everyone was getting tired and it was very hot and humid. It was probably between 80 and 90 with almost 100% humidity.
