Bonding via aerobics

I'm so excited about life in general right now!

This semester is starting out SO good.  Wonderful.  Great even!  As I told you, I was planning to go to an aerobics class tonight.  Well, I went, and let me tell you that I am very glad I did go!

At work today, I went back to talk to Christy like I usually do.  I let slip that I was going to go to an aerobics class tonight at 8.  She expressed interest after asking me where it was again and asking me to repeat the time, so I asked if she wanted to come with me!  She said that she totally would but that she didn't want to walk alone at night--I don't blame her--so I drove to her place and we walked together.

For those of you not catching the key phrase in that last sentence, it was "So I drove to her place".  Can you believe that I actually drove somewhere that I had no idea about where I was going???  I can't.  I almost didn't, but I'd already told her I'd come and I've been determined not to let anxiety ruin my life.  (Speaking of which:  counseling session Thursday at 4!)

It turns out that it's very easy to find her place.  I just wasn't sure where the right street was or if I'd pick the right apartments.  Hers are pretty hard to miss though--they're the only old ones on the street--but that's okay.

Anyway, so we got there really early and walked a few laps around the track.  I knew then that I was going to be in trouble because my legs and feet started hurting!  It's been about a month since I've done anything really physical and here I am going to a power yogalaties class.  Speaking of the class name, I'm not real sure what the difference is between that and regular yoga, but I'll figure it out tomorrow when I have regular yoga.

That brings me to my next point;  Christy and I have developed a work out regimen and schedule that works well with our schedules.  Mondays, we're going to go to the gym after around 8:30 and freestyle it--meaning we're just going to use the machines or walk/run or swim for at least 30 minutes.  Whatever we want to do.  Tuesdays and Thursdays, like today, we're going to be taking power yogalaties.  Wednesdays we'll be taking regular yoga.  Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are our body rest days.

It sounds pretty high packed, but I'm sure that we can do it, no problems.  Plus, Christy has a wedding that this is helping her prepare for and a bet to win against her fiance.  We'll make sure those pounds are lost by the end of this semester.  Anyway, I'm just really glad that I have somebody COOL to hang out with.  Nobody weird or boring or uninterested in what I'm about.

It's awesome.  Oh, and on Sundays, we'll be watching The L Word together!  WOO HOO!  This is going to be a good semester!

So now I'm going to take a shower and rub cocoa butter on myself.  After that...well, after that I have responsibilities to take care of, like pick out tomorrow's clothes and make sure I don't have any work to do.
