Authors Notes: I'm mad... I must be mad. This is written for the houndxmirage Three's a Charm challenge. I shall be attempting a drabble (100 words) every day. Feel free to poke me (gently) if I miss a day? And this does have mod approval :)

December 23 - supererogation
“Mirage, stop…” Hound tried pleading with his lover. He was well used to the spy’s erratic work, but to see Mirage working himself into the ground after his latest mission was unusual. There was the usual debriefing, but this was worse.
“I can’t.”
“Mirage, anything more is just supererogation. You don’t need to do any more. You’ve done enough.”
“Done enough? All I did was get Jazz captured!” Mirage snarled.
“It wasn’t your fault.” Hound tried to placate him.
“I was his backup and I failed him. I have to do this, Hound.” He pleaded, begging his lover to understand.
