TF: Rare-Pairing Halloween Trick ‘o Treat

Authors Notes: I had fun doing the prowlxjazz Anniversary Challenge, if no one else enjoyed reading them. So when tf_rare_pairing announced their October challenge, I thought I might try something similar. Though this is going to be different as I have to write on a daily basis again. But that was fun when I did it before ( both times). So yeah… wish the ever-more-eccentric one luck?

“I didn’t give you permission soldier.” Prowl’s voice cracked as he spoke to Sideswipe. The red mech was lying on a medical berth, half his plating missing. Not to mention one leg and one arm.
“Prowl.” Sideswipe reached out with his remaining arm, seeking both comfort from his lover and to comfort his lover.
“I’m here.” Prowl grasped his hand, squeezing gently. “Don’t go without me.” He begged.
“Ain’t going nowhere.” Sideswipe coughed. “You know Ratchet, he won’t let me die on his shift.”
“Of course I won’t.” Ratchet called out from his office, proof that he knew everything that happened in his medbay.
“I know.” Prowl murmured softly. “I just… hate seeing you injured like this.”
“You’ll get used to it.” Sideswipe muttered. “Happens often enough.” He grinned. “Perils of being a frontliner.”
“I will never get used to it.” Prowl promised. “And I will endeavour to stop it happening again.”
“Only way you can do that is to stop the war, babe.” Sideswipe answered, breaking off to cough again.
“All right, that’s it.” Ratchet entered the medbay from his office. “He needs his rest.”
“I’ll do it, Sideswipe.” Prowl promised, leaning down to kiss Sideswipe, ignoring the snort from Ratchet. He watched as Ratchet induced a recharge cycle.
“Do you really think you can end the war?” Ratchet asked softly as he stepped back.
“For Sideswipe, I would do anything.”
