Springer growled at the medic.

The medic growled back.

“Don’t make this any harder than it has to be.” Ratchet glared, scanner held loosely in one hand as he tried to stare Springer down.
“I’ve told you before, I don’t need your check ups, and I don’t need repairs.” Having just come on base, Springer seemed to be determined to avoid all the usual routine check ups and repairs that the transfer down from Cybertron entailed.
“We have all the equipment and resources here to make any repairs we need to.  I know things haven’t been easy…” Ratchet tried to placate Springer.
“Don’t give me that.” Springer scoffed, double-checking that the berth was between him and the medic (he’d heard the rumors after all!).  “You just want to get your hands on my frame.”
“Only in your dreams!” Ratchet retorted, a trifle too quickly, before launching himself across the berth at Springer.  He was fed up with the triple-changer’s posturing, wanting nothing more than to run his scans and fill in his reports and go back to his bookfile.

The medbay doors slid open automatically for Perceptor, which was probably a good thing as the scientist had his optics glued to the datapad he was carrying.  However, he did tear his optics away at the sound of a moan/groan, to see Ratchet bent over the berth, Springer behind him, leaning heavily on the medic’s frame.
“Oh, I do apologise, I didn’t realise you were off-duty, Ratchet.  I’ll return another time.” Ducking his head in embarrassment at having so obviously interrupted a private moment, Perceptor hurriedly retreated out of the medbay.

“Frag it, will you let me up!” Ratchet growled, bucking ineffectually in yet another attempt to force Springer to move.  Springer just laughed, pushing Ratchet against the berth.
“What, worried because your scientist seems to have gotten the wrong impression?”
“Frag you.”
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s what he thought I was doing.” Ratchet growled again.  Springer lowered his voice, leaning closer to Ratchet.
“What do you say we prove him right?”
“…"
