Thursday, in the afternoon

Jan 29, 2009 16:03

I enjoy Thursdays more when Survivor is on. Right now it's just a stepping stone to Friday. Not much to look forward to after work except the gym, canned soup, reading and sleep.

Greg emailed me this morning that he tossed and turned and hardly slept last night. That was the last I heard from him which is unusual. Hope everything is okay.

I've been chosen to be on the Critical Success Factor A4 committee whose goal is to "explore environmentally responsible approaches to facility management." A Green Team has the potential to be fun, especially with the people on it.

I've taken half a day off tomorrow, mostly so I can drive out to Clarkson West to get my quarterly Depo shot and while I'm at it, run some other errands. These include but are not limited to stops at the post office, Great Harvest Bread, Max I Walker, gas station (car wash?), library, Target and thrift store. Greg will probably go to the gym alone and later we'll meet up for sushi.

Saturday afternoon I have tentative plans to go ice skating with Shannon and the kids, something that I've had on my "bucket list" for a while that Greg isn't interested in. He'll be busy working on the kitchen with Mark anyway. Seems like we spend less time together on the weekends these days, a trend that will likely continue as he works on the house though I plan to help out where I can.

Sunday of course is the SuperBowl, an event I'm looking forward to only for the commercials and the halftime show (Springsteen!). The food and the company will be good, too. And maybe I'll even get some knitting done ...
