Once again, I must reiterate that Scrubs is the best show on television. But then again, it's only one of two I watch so what would I know?
I just had my blood drawn this morning for the annual health screen and already my results are online. Isn't technology great sometimes? I weight 5 lbs less than a year ago and 10 lbs less than two years ago which I attribute mostly to eating less, exercising more and the complete elimination of vodka from my diet. Total cholesterol sits nicely at 144. However, my glucose reading was borderline low while the TSH level was just outside the optimal range making it borderline high (again). Probably nothing to be too concerned about yet but something to keep an eye on.
I don't write poetry and I don't paint (very well) but I love making compilations and this one was inspired by the person who said it was an art form. He may or may not ever see it but it's been in my head for a while and needed to come out. It's a strange hodgepodge of songs that I notice in hindsight alternatively waver between holding on and letting go, much like myself. Interestingly, three are my all-time favorites ("Thunder Road", "Heroes" and "I'm Free Now"), three four are covers ("Handle With Care", "Deep Sea Diving Suit", "Dear Prudence" and "South Central Rain"), three mention long-eared, short-tailed, burrowing mammals of the family Leporidae in the title, and three use ampersands in the band name.
