The college let us go at noon today but I feel like I wasted it since all I did was run a few quick errands (is there ever a shortage of those?) and then come home to bake more banana bread, clean/organize, watch 3 episodes of Red Dwarf and catch up on some correspondence. Which in print doesn't seem so much like a waste of time, I guess.
During the semester break, I'm usually busy trying to get everything I want to accomplish done before it starts all over again and having been in school for the majority of the last fifteen years, it's weird not to have that feeling hanging over my head. It still hasn't quite registered yet.
This week I've joined the ranks of the post-Christmas consumer whores by using gift certificates received for graduation to purchase Teacher Man by Frank McCourt, the Born to Run box set and the second season of Scrubs. It seems that I'll be spending January immersing myself in various media.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to visit Suzanne and the baby, exchange presents with Sandy who is in town for the day and at some point, get together with Shannon since it's her 29th birthday (for real).
