Took these today on the way to the other side of town; this used to be a very nice little strip of houses in the woods, set back pretty far from the river, but obviously not far enough.
This is a picture of the little marina off Ellis.
This is one of the houses that backed up to the river, with accompanying pile of former walls and roof. I think part of the pile used to be the shed.
If you look closely, this house faced the river and you can see that the windows are blown out.
This was a lovely tree in someone's yard. Now it is uprooted kindling.
This little bunker building was built a few years ago, for a purpose I don't know, but obvious care was taken to try to protect it from the water because there were NOT those tall mud walls around it previously.
This is the former bus lot; it used to have 10 foot fences topped with barbed wire. They're gone. I don't know if they fell in or were washed away or what, but they're not there. The buses were moved to the green hilly area to the back.
