Ladies and gentlemen, today is dedicated to Jon Abad, the East High 1993 Ping Pong Tournament champion. For 13 straight years, this honorable man's crude yet stunning trophy (white letters beautifully glued to a red ping pong paddle) was displayed in the first trophy case in the main hallway of Green Bay East High. As of last Friday, someone or something knocked it down from its respectable place, and now Mr. Abad's name is no longer visible. As of now, it is unclear whether this one-of-a-kind trophy will ever be propped up to its deserving spot on the second shelf. Nevertheless, the memory of Jon Abad and his incredible accomplishment will forever live in each and every one of our hearts.
