So. Yesterday I promised John an adventure and we had one and it was good. We went to Davis Square because it's my new favorite place to hang out, to just wander around. We went to the Goodwill Store, as if it was old times, and miraculously found a suit that fitted John perfectly. Speaking of thrift stores, I finally got around to seeing Poor Little Rich Girl and mark my words, the next time I have money to blow on clothes and shoes, I'm going there. Also wandered around the Tufts area and found some neat parks worth going back to. Later, we got involved in the
Somerville to Cambridge Zombie March . Needless to say, it's really great to catch people's expressions as zombies block traffic down Mass Ave. We walked from Davis all the way past Harvard ("best and brightest braaaaaaains") with the group and then went off on our own and walked to Central for dinner. And then we walked all the way back into Boston, trying to find what was left of John and Kate's tagging (not so much of the former's and all of the latter's; John's starting a gang war).
Today I find out that the high school is now no more (see my facebook album). That's a sad little feeling.
Tomorrow I've got work, buying of senior week tickets and a search for a part-time job that will hold me over for the summer. I'm running low on money. It makes me nervous. ...where's my tax rebate when I need it?!
It's starting to look like I did a lot better for grades than I had previously thought. I'm getting an A in PR and probably an A in sales. Design might be an A- and who knows for IMC; the lowest I honestly deserve is a B+. So I wonder where this will put me. If I come just below magna cum laude, I'm going to be so angry. I just want it so I can feel like a smartypants.
I feel hungry and looking through cookbooks isn't helping my situation. I wish my apartment was big enough that I could have an actual dinner party but something about a party in the same room as the kitchen and my bedroom just seems off. Speaking of apartments, I'm staying here for what looks like at least another 6 months to a year. Time to look for gently used furniture!
(Speaking of gently used furniture, does anyone feel like joining me on a Beacon Hill scavenging mission this week?)
