I'm in a VERY "bah, humbug" mood today. Mostly as a result of having to have the unit christmas lunch today *wrinkles nose* I always feel so incredibly young & useless when I'm sitting with all of them (I'm probably a good ten years younger than the youngest). It doesn't help that the bitch face advisor keeps prattling on about her "young 25 year old daughter" that's the same age as me for fuck's sake *pulls face* Anyways... That's entirely beside the point. The point is....
THE FOO FIGHTERS FUCKING ROCK! OMG!!!!! The energy was SO incredible... It barely ebbed when Dave Grolan (spelling?) burped into the mike (twice).... The laser lights were FRICKIN' AWESOME! The bassist for the local support group dislocated his knee somehow (didn't see that but did see him being carried off) & Dave was saying that if that had happend to him he would have "fucked off & left y'all sitting" it was unreal. I was on SUCH a high Monday night (natural!!!) from all the energy it was SO intense it was so hard to relax on Tuesday (I had the day off) I think I would have been better off coming to work *grin*
I'm going to see The Brothers Grimm tonight I'm SUPER excited about that. Mmm Matt Damon & Heath Ledger *grrowl*
What else... Oooh the new Passionfruit Mint tic tacs are YUMMO but not as YUMMO as the Mint Chill KitKats *drools* I'm SERIOUSLY addicted to mint at the moment!!!
Now i'm just waffling to waste time 'cause I really don't want to be here today... *pulls face* I don't know where I want to be but here & LG's place aren't on the list... I think I want to be in MY house/unit with a puppy & a kitty & a ROARING fire (yes I know it's 30-odd degrees outside) & some mint-choc icecream (the Conisseur one) & some DVDs & some good friends & yeah... *sigh* Ah well, maybe by the time I'm 40 *pulls face* I wanted to have my own place by 30 but unless I manage to land one of the AO4/AO5 jobs going around it ain't gonna happen *pout*
OOOH OOOH *dances* My manager has agreed to let me go on a training course for Admin Assistants in Feb (it's gonna suck but hey it's day away from the office with full pay) which I'm taking as a sign that my contract here is being extended *wiggles with excitement* One less thing to fret about...
Anyways it's nearly 4:30pm my day's over! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO *cheer* Time for me to hit the gym then my old unit then LG's place then the cinema... Shit, I'm exhausted just thinking about it *eyes widen*
