I'm still fuming about "Arrested Development." I hurt all over. I'm pissed and this time, I'm not going to take it when FOX cancels a show I love.
It's time for a rant.

I guess I will have to rent the DVDs... I'm so sorry your show was cancelled, that sucks x 12345678910.
But "Pasadena" was just wonderful in its soapy goodness though :p

OMG can you please rent this show?? Seriously, our TV tastes are too ridiculously in common for you to not have seen this show and have memorized every line! I don't want to overhype it for you (uhh probably too late for that, haha) but seriously, you will LOVE LOVE LOVE it! :D

But "Pasadena," like ABC's "Titans," didn't have much of a chance... most unfortunately, out and out, shamelessly obvious primetime soaps sort of thrived and died in the "Dynasty" and "Dallas" era... then I think "Melrose Place" was probably the end.

Oh, Melrose Place... I never got hooked on that show, but I knew a million people who were beyond addicted! I got a good look at Desperate Housewives the other night and wasn't terribly impressed... I guess I just prefer my soaps on during the day. You can always depend on daytime drama to give you the LAMEST love scenes and most absurd plots. Speaking of which, has Jack died of his unknown disease yet or what??
See, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by how pissed I am over AD being cancelled. This is *exactly* how I felt when they fired Matt (again) back in '03!

I haven't been keeping up with DH this year, but holy shit, that show is really good IMO. Like, I don't see it as a total soap--obviously, it has many soap elements, but there's real social commentary involved... it surprises me that it's so huge, because it mocks suburbia and really is a disproval of the "American Dream," much like The Great Gatsby and American Beauty. It's really, really, really heavy, heavy, heavy drama laced with comedy, but at the core, the show is really serious. The least "deep" part of the show is really Teri Hatcher's character Susan and her relationship with James Denton's character Mike, which is ironic, because they're the ones who get all the media attention. But I mean, it's narrated by a dead lady who committed suicide--come on! haha...
Jack has not perished from the unnamed terminal illness, however--wait 'til you get a load of this--NBC has issued a press release about the Christmas ( ... )

LMFAO Belle and Phillip's baby is sick? I think it must be required for every couple's first child to get sick. Remember Shawn D going deaf? And Abby's leukemia? And didn't Sami kidnap Belle once? OH, DOOL. I kinda miss SC sometimes, but oh god, I don't think I still have it in me to argue with those crazy ass people!
BTW, I know you haven't watched Gilmore Girls in a while, but last night's episode was the best one I've EVER seen on this show. I just flipped out watching it... it's almost soapy drama, but it's SO SO SO well written. Just so you know... I know we like our good TV! :D
