I knew those pants were loose

Had another session with my trainer today, starting with full measurements.  I was bummed that he couldn't find my chart from March, when we also did full stats.  I know that I weighed in at 213 then, and my BMI was 39.7, but I really don't remember much else.  He was able to look up my stats from last September though, since it had to be entered into the computer.  That was very interesting.

So, here's the big breakdown since September:
Weight      221      -     187        = -34 pounds
BMI         41%     -     34%       = -7% body fat
Chest       45.25    -    40.0        = -5.25 inches
Waist       44         -    32.5        = -11.5 inches
Hips         49.25    -    40.5        = -8.75 inches
Neck       17         -     15          = -2 inches
Bicep       14.5      -    11.75      = -2.75 inches
Forearm  11          -    10           = -1 inch
Thigh       27          -    22.5        = -4.5 inches
Calf         17          -    15           = -2 inches

The original workout program I was given was not very challenging overall.  Yeah, sure, I was horribly out of condition and most of my work was building a reasonable amount of endurance, but I felt almost as if I was in remedial PE.  Ended up taking three months off around the holidays and finally dragged my flabby ass back in the last week of Feb.  I weighed 217 that first week.  Depressing.  Piddled around with my old routine for a month before I decided to get serious and asked Wayne if he'd take me as a client.  Yep, I picked the biggest trainer of the bunch, and one of the biggest guys, period, at this particular Gold's Gym.  And he's great!  Just knowing he was my trainer made me work harder the week before our first session.  So, fast forward a few months to today... Weighed in at 187.  :)  That's 26 pounds down since I've been training with Wayne, and 30 pounds since coming back to the gym in February.  However, I've been really bad about my food and about getting to the gym recently, starting around the time of my dad's funeral, and it showed in my BMI measurement, which was 34%, up from 32.5 on 6/17.  I'm bummed about that one, but I've been expecting to gain weight and haven't, so it had to show up somewhere.  I know I can do better.

We filled in my workout today to include a whole bunch of lower body stuff, which I didn't have before.  All I really did was a few ball squats, some single leg presses, and whatever I got from cardio.  Now I have barbell squats, half deadlifts, reverse lunges, barbell goodmornings, weighted step ups, leg extensions/weighted leg curls, prone cobra's, and prone quadruprted opposite arm/leg raises.  I did well at all the exercises, earning praise on my form.  Oh, and I asked about my form when doing the supine bridge/chest presses on the ball, about whether I was truly flat or not.  He grinned and said that not only was I tucking my hips up properly and staying perfectly flat, but that he points me out to other clients as an example of what to do.  Loved that!  :)  And he thinks I need to chase the goal of a 2 minute plank, says it's hard but that I can do it eventually.  Now to find a timer...  lol
