Having a hard time stringing more than 140 words together at a time now.  My apologies if this sucks.  lol

Last week, monkeyscorpion came out on her vacation.  Although she stayed with ladyforash, I was recruited for transportation services.  Ha, teasing.  :)  Really, I was only required for the 'Motorcycle Ride to the Coast' part, which was one of April's requests.  Then I tagged along the rest of the trip too.

We had a very fun, busy week:

Not sure what they did earlier in the day, but we had a bbq here Sunday evening. The fact that it was raining made it even more fun.  I just wish I'd remembered to serve the deviled eggs.  D'oh!  Although, combined with the baked beans and the outdoor fireplace, that could have been, um, explosive.

Monday/Tuesday, we loaded the bikes and headed for the coast.  Rode along the Suislaw River on the way out, down Hwy 101 for a nice stretch, and the Umpqua River on the way back.  Played in the sand, had dinner in Winchester Bay, even got to see the Elk at the Reserve just outside Reedsport.  Poor April, though.  I think it was a few days before she had any feeling in her feet and seat after riding on the back of my Harley for so long.

Wednesday, we ditched the bikes in favor of the truck and headed for Seattle and pnksaph.  She was waiting for us with HP6 tickets - as if she wasn't awesome already.  :)

Thursday morning, I was up early for a quick workout before we made the trek to Vancouver BC.  We were all a little bummed when they scanned our passports instead of stamping them.  Sometimes technology sucks.  lol  Anyway, we found our way through the construction and traffic in Downtown Vancouver to finally arrive in Stanley Park.  So beautiful!  And it's huge!  Here's another link.  We went to the Aquarium, then took the scenic route, literally, to Totem Park.  After all the walking, it was a good thing the hotel had a hot tub.  :)

Friday found us on the University of British Columbia campus touring the Museum of Anthropology and the Botanical Garden & Research Center before driving across town to one of the oldest Harley Davidson dealers in North America.  Once we traded what was left of our Canadian currency for souvenir t-shirts, we headed south for the US Border.  (Um, yeah, you've probably already heard about that from both ladyforash and monkeyscorpion.  No?  Ok, if you're nice, I'll give you links at the end of this post.)  So, FINALLY we make it back into the country and zip back to pnksaph's.  This time she had RHPS tickets waiting.  I've seen it many times, but it's been 25 years since I've gone, and only once in a theater outside Westwood, CA.  The crowd was pretty good, the theater and troupe were both very small, but it was fun.  :)

Saturday, April had a ticket for the Seattle/Chelsea soccer match, so Carolee and I wandered over to the Seattle Aquarium and Pike's Market.  After trying to make a yellow light (which of course is debatable as to whether I really made it or not), right in front of a traffic control officer (who waved me down, gave me a really dirty look, and pointed to the now RED light), we hopped the I-5 home to Eugene.  Hmm, maybe I shouldn't have been driving after the Canada incident?  lol

Anyway, here's a link to my Vacation pictures, a link to April's LJ, rather than to a specific post, because I love her banner (which is based on a manip by khaoschilde), and links to vacation posts by ladyforash ( 1, 2, and 3).

Need to send HUGE HUGS and THANKS to pnksaph for being the awesome person and friend she is, and for her generous hospitality.  It was great to see her again, and I really wish I knew how to properly thank her and tell her how much I appreciate her.

Oh, and check out the icon monkeyscorpion made for me from the trip.  I'm suprised it doesn't say 'Oh Canada.'  :D

friends, bikes, blab blab blab, travels, riding, pics
