"Santa Claus is Comin' to Town"
I know it’s been a while again. I have been so busy and my allergies haven’t gotten the worst of me so it’s been a constant battle when I get home from work where I sit around fighting with myself about not letting myself go to bed because I have stuff to do, but being too tired to get up and actually get stuff done. Somehow, minus some cleaning, everything is getting done in a pretty timely matter.
My biggest news is that I did manage to wrangle myself a full time position with Concierge at the Polynesian resort at the conclusion of my internship. It’s bittersweet. I feel entirely blessed to have a Full Time position; it’s hard to come by those in Walt Disney World, especially right out of an internship. However, I was really looking for something with a little bit more responsibility. I do have some other things cooking so we’ll see how that all goes. I don’t have any doubt that I will absolutely love Concierge, but I don’t feel like it’s helping me get to where I want to be. Basically, we can all give a sigh of relief because at least I have a job, but don’t be surprised if I end up somewhere else. ;)
I’m not entirely sure what is going to happen for Christmas for me. I might sing in Candlelight. Duncan is working a 12 ½ hour day, so I will not be seeing him. I thought that maybe we’d be able to do something the next day which is typically the one day off that we have together, but Disney scheduled him, which is a bummer. Luckily, I have found some other Intern orphans that may need something to do that day as well! I might make a stop into Animal Kingdom that day to visit Duncan like I did on Thanksgiving. If I do end up doing that, I hope it warms up a bit! I’ve forgotten how to dress for sub 40 degree weather, and the walk from the parking lot into work was a little bit chilly!
