tinted lip gloss suggestions?

Okay, so spring is upon us, which means I, for a brief time, care more about my appearance. I was looking for a tinted lip gloss this weekend, and the selection was very sparse! I few years ago, I remember running across several, but they all appear to not be on shelves anymore ( Read more... )

Hmm, the only one I can think of is Burts Bees, which is a no-no for you.

Have you tried CoverGirl's gel glosses, or Lancome's more expensive "Juicy Tubes," which are really the same thing? The colour is very very subtle, but the slick and the gloss are just right. And they're honey based, I think, and last FOREVER on your lips.

I'm not sure if Pangaea Organics has a tinted variant on their lip gloss, which I quite like.

As I just mentioned, the Burt's Bees tinteds aren't mint-based. :) Or at least the red one I have isn't. (I think they only make like 2 colors and the other's weird, though.)

Huh, the one of my mum's that I tried was minty...maybe it's different for the different colours! That, and I think hers was the weird one. Mauve?

The weird one I saw was sort of flesh-tone thing (it would've been corpse-y on me) but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they do make more than the couple shades I've found in stores around here.

Actually, now that I've done the obvious and checked their web site, I think we're *both* right, because we're talking about different products! I own this : http://www.burtsbees.com/natural-products/lips-lip-shimmer-gloss/super-shiny-lip-gloss.html and the scary color I saw in it was the "Nectar Nude."

I betcha what your mother has is this, which DOES have mint :

Yup! That's the one mum has! I've never seen the one you have!

Weird! Glad I solved the mystery, though - that's about the most I've accomplished all day. ;)

I have seen the type your mother has, but never tried it out.
