Noblesville -- A Carmel teenager died in a single car accident overnight in Noblesville.
Police say 19-year-old Abigail Matthews suffered massive head and internal injuries in the accident on Little Chicago Road near Hawthorne Place.
Matthews was a front seat passenger in a Chevy Cavalier driven by 17-year-old Hillary Redmon of Carmel. Redmon suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Riverview Hospital.
Two other passengers were also injured. Lifeline Helicopter transported 17-year-old Johnathon Byer of Noblesville to Methodist Hospital with leg and internal injuries.
Medics took 15-year-old Celeste Morris to Riverview Hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the driver overcorrected when the car's front tire dropped off the roadway causing the car to spin and slide into a tree line.
