I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas!!! or at least a mostly wonderful one! My Christmas was surprisingly pretty good! The wisdom teeth are out and are mostly healed up. i can actually chew on both sides now! :o). My mom and i went to wenatchee on tuesday and i was there till friday afternoon. i got to spend some time with my little cousin and my grandpa and one of my uncles. we went to Leavenworth and hung out for a day and had yummy pizza! Rebecca (my little cuz) is going to be turning 21 this next month...yeah, ok so she's not so little but still. so i told her i would come down to seattle (she's at UW) and i would take her out and do my duty as the older and "fun" cousin...eveyone else are all stick in the mud, religious fanatics!!! :op. ok, so she actually is too, so i told her i wouldn't get her tooooo drunk...hehehee...uh huh...we'll see....*evil grin*.
Then on Friday I took a bus over to spokane. Stew picked me up from the bus stop and took me to Chris's family's house were i met a bunch of chris's family and saw chris after almost a whole week away!!!...i almost died i tell ya! haha. His family was awsome. i had already met his parents and sister and grandma, but there was a bunch of other people there too. they were all really cool. we went christmas caroling to a couple of their friend's in an old folks home down the street. then we had yummy steak dinner. His parents are so much different than mine. They had us both sleep down in the basement on the footon(sp?) and didn't really care. it was a nice change from my family. then christmas eve we all drove out to idaho to one of chris' uncle's place. then the fun began! their heritage is irish, scottish and predominately norwegen! so one of their traditions for christmas eve is that you have to eat a really yucky fish that's been soaked in LYE!!! it's called "Ludifisk"...or something like that. you take a "bolsa" (a potatoe tortilla) and put mashed potatoes in it. then you mix in the Ludafisk and wrap it up. then you melt hot butter down into the tortilla and eat it!...mine really wasn't THAT bad because they only made me put a small spoonful of fish in my tortilla and lots of butter. it still had a yucky fishy taste to it though. but the good part about that is if you eat the Ludafisk chrismas eve than on christmas morning you get to eat a really yummy breakfast. I don't remember what it's called but it was some kind of sausagey stuff that you spread on toast. sounds kinda wierd but it was GOOD! His family was all really welcoming and nice. His parents even gave me two gift certificates. one to Ross and one to Barnes and Nobles. And his sister gave me Mr. and Mrs. Smith! my ultimate favorite movie of the year!!! we got home really early this morning and i missed a dentist appointment because i forgot to set the alarm! oops. I forgot Chris's presents at home so i think we are going to do our little christmas tonight.
I'm very happy with my work right now. they let me have christmas AND new year's weekend off. i have to work tomorrow and thursday but i asked to because i was going to be missing a couple days. YAY! even though it started out pretty yucky, it's been a pretty good break!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!
