(no subject)
I got an A- on the paper that was due Monday. Then bowled the best game of my life...172, including 5 strikes and 3 spares. Only 3 open frames. With my handicap added on, it was a 250, which I think is the highest women's score in all the bowling classes during our league play. I'm pretty proud of myself. I got a printout to show my family over Thanksgiving break.
The holidays this year are going to suck. But I'm sure I'll get over/through it. Hopefully New Years will work out. If not, I'm cursed.
I'm getting antsy. I'm ready for the semester to be over. Other than finals/final papers, I only have the daily reading logs for one of my classes and a take home exam. Well, and reading, but no big papers. I need a vacation.
And I am definitely quitting Vienna. I don't want to have to work over break even if I'm going to be in town during part of it. I went into one of the coffeeshops downtown, and they need help in the evenings. They're only open until 7, so really I couldn't do much since I probably couldn't get there until 6 every day. But maybe if they hired me, they could be open later. I wouldn't want to work every day, but I'm sure they could find one other person to work later. Even being open until 9 would be awesome. It's a hell of a lot better than working until 1am.
Speaking of...I have to close at Vienna tonight. Yuck. Then I work Friday from 6-8 to help Karen out so she can go home. Next week I only work Tuesday and Wednesday, and we're closing early on Wednesday since it's the day before Thanksgiving. And that works out, because I'll have time to go home and shower then go see GRR play at Knickerbocker. Neeeeat.
I haven't been to a bar in almost 2 weeks, I think. I'm pretty proud of myself. Saving money, yeaaaah.
