Rec: Team StarKid > (fan) musicals and more
Dear anyone-who-still- reads-my-stuff,
this year has passed faster than a blink of an eye.
Before it ends I want to share something I discovered by chance in youtube: Team StarKid.
This group of very talented people brought me so much fun.
Their stuff is so entertaining and made me happy this year.
Its made with heart and passion.
It will make you smile.
I still haven't seen anything produced by them.
They were very young in fact still students (at Michigan) as they made their first production: A very Potter musical
AVPM was my introduced me to them and I got hooked. As a result more or less bingedwatched that musical as well as both of its sequels
and I rewatched them already. It has so many hilarious and epic moments. So many things come to mind,e.g. the portrayal of and interaction between Voldemort and Quirrel is great. Special mention Draco.
Most memorable song "Going back to Hogwarts"
Watch it.
You don't have to be a Potter fan to enjoy it.
Yesterday I watched Holy Musical B@tman. Favorite song bits "I wanna be somebodys buddy" and "Rogues are we (reprise)"
And I also liked their musical Twisted - The untold story of a wizier. It is based on Aladdin but really with a (dark) twist.
From their Original works I like Firebringer the best. Maybe you have heard of the song "I don't wanna do the work today" which is cited on the internet/in youtube a lot.
