So, the GP said the knee pain is normal, especially in those who "jump into" being sporty again. I taught her how to "open a PDF in a web browser, save it on hard drive, and send that file via e-mail". It seems like the exercises given in the leaflet are quite basic, but I should really do them.
I went to the gym, did 20 min of cycling, 5 min of "hand-cycling", and then a few exercises on the muscle machines. I haven't got a clue how many reps to do on these, and which weight to use. I'll probably play it by ear every time I'm there, the personal trainers are quite pushy, wanting to sell themselves, but I perceive that as unsolicited advances. It's even more annoying when they decide to talk to me in the middle of my workout. I'm cycling, trying to keep the cadence above 100rpms, with heart rate around 160, and then they come up for a chat, and I'm too polite to tell them to just bugger off.
