~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Ahhhh, slept in today. Just got up. Feel like a bum. My instructors cancelled the morning classes because they're all out of town on conference trips, so all I have is work at 3pm today, again at 9am tomorrow, then I'm on spring break. I'm working on four or so fics right now that are very appreciative of the week off coming up.
Oh, and yes, one girl in the Eng 99 course did leave the room to vomit during the curb scene in American History X. If I didn't have to be there,I would have joined her. I felt really bad. :/ I think that movie may be a tad too violent to show students. I dunno. I'm not usually too sensitive to blood and gore, but cruelty makes me sick to my stomach. Like, I can watch horror movies with no problem because they are pure fantasy. But something like AHX, where the situation could be real and similar does happen, I get woozy and depressed. It's just so oppressive-feeling, watching that cycle of hate and the senselessly bad things that people do to one another. The Believer might be a slightly less violent, slightly more subtle choice next semester. *blinks* *gets off high horse*
Enjoy the rest of your week, folks. :)
