Waking up is hard sometimes, like swimming up to the surface from deep underwater, only ur fully clothed and the water seems really thick. Sometimes its easier to just stop struggling, and to just sleep. I wonder honestly if I could one day sleep forever. *meh*
Darker Than Black is an odd show. Like on the one hand it's the mystery of the Gate and Contractors, and the organizations involved - so like it's an action/suspense show, and on the other hand its this totally introspective drama. Characters often go into poetic monologues about humanity, the soul and existence. Or even about the sky and stars. When it goes into its moments of deep melancholy, I can't help but be moved and a little bewildered.
But in truth the characters are designed to fit into both verses, since no one in the show is given to extreme displays of emotion.
Episodes 19 & 20 give some back story on Huang, which was surprisingly sentimental. Considering he's the only member of the group that hasn't really bonded with the others.
*big grin* I got my first neg rep. @ BA Forums, someone thought I was "not funny" :P
T_T I'm truly hurt, it's like "oh noes! sumone thinks I'm unfunny, I must go drown myself in the lake!" Ironically the same statement got rep's for being funny. -_- I like the forum now, don't find it too difficult to talk with others and be social, its fun. Also the whole reps thing is like a game, where u can advance in levels of Bleach addiction.
I'm now gonna go watch "Princess Tutu", as usual I didn't board the shoujo train willingly, but
debbiechan made it sound totally win in her essays @
bleachness . It's a trilogy on Authorial Intent; the first of which discusses character development and the role of Inoue's unrequited love in Bleach, and makes for an interesting read. The second discusses the relationship between symbols, plot and thematic development. It's less debatable to me 'cause as a book chick, I'm used to the use of symbols to denote abstract themes, and don't place too much emphasis on it, regardless of the overwhelming Yin/Yang representations in the Ichigo/Rukia relationship.
But Princess Tutu looks like something I'll love, and not just 'cause of my shady addiction to all things shoujo, the episode arcs are names after ballets. *wah* People never mention the important things though it should have been obvious from the name. All things theater related immediately send off resounding bells of happy in my head. XD
I have a head-ache, and as can be attested to all the Radiohead and Coldplay on my playlist, am feeling my usual Autumnal Melancholy. *sighs*
