I didn't mean for this to be so short... I was actually pretty shocked when I reread the chapter and saw how very short it was. I think it would have been too difficult to combine this with the following part, though.

I do like torturing you guys... but hey, at least I post regularly, so you only have to squirm for a day or so. Maybe I'll even put the next part up tonight since this was so short.

Yup. And with this story in particular, I've gotten the point where what I'm writing is way ahead of what I've posted, so I don't have as much of a feel for how long or short the old sections are. (I'm actually done with the whole thing at this point, and I'm on to the next part of the series, which I wasn't intending to write in the first place).

The next part should be up at some point tonight. It's short, too... but it's fun.
