Welcome To The Family-UPROAR FESTIVAL!!!
All I can say is that Avenged Sevenfold was amazing beyond description!
The day started off long because we had to wait in line to try and get a band so we could be on the floor of which we were successful in getting we then had to wait in line again to get into the venue total wait in line about six hours. My sister and I ran onto the floor so we could get a good spot totally leaving my mom and her friend behind. We were three rows back from the fence so that was freaking amazing to get that close and stay that close for almost the whole show for ¾ bands.
Halestorm was cool especially for having a chick lead singer, she is no wimp. I didn’t know any of their songs though so I felt kinda bad lol. I fell in love with their drummer he was a major show off and was pretty funny. They had great showmanship.
Stonesour was the second band and I have wanted to see them for a while now because I mean come on its Corey mother fucking Taylor! They were magnificent and I knew all the songs the problem came about when this drunk came up behind me and my sister, first of I thought he was going to dump his beer down my back then he was smoking when their wasn’t even an inch between us all he was trying to do was get our spot so we stood our ground. We he slipped in between us so we are clutching on to each others hand because I did not want to lose my 12 year old sister in the stonesour mosh pit. So I tap the guy and I get really violent and hard with each tap(okay it was more like a punch but what ever) finally the chick that was with him said something and made him move but then he kept running into my sister so I wasn’t not thrilled with him or his friends. The set was really good though and I am so happy I have got to see Corey with Stonesour and Slipknot!
AVENGED SEVENFOLD they wouldn’t let us see when they were setting up the stage they dropped a curtain down but I did see a Mr. Matt Berry exiting the stage. First of like 95% of the people their were their for A7X so when they came on their was an insane rush form the back of the floor. They were only three or four songs into their set and the whole floor had to back up because we had broke the fence. Their whole set up is freaking sweet they had three different back drops and the pyrotechnics. My sister got one row a head of me but I could still see her so it was all good. We got away from the jack asses so it was really nice not having to worry. I do have to say I got great shoots of Brian because he was mainly on our side of the stage it is a different story for a Mr. Vengeance though he was really hard to get pictures of. I loved watching them say things to each other and the faces they would make. They were so interactive with the crowd and didn’t talk down to any of the fans. They were just amazing and yes I did cry a little when they talked about Jimmy epically because Matt brought up how in Columbus at Rock on the range had been the last show they played with him and I got to see that show, he was saying that Columbus was kind of special to them because of that reason. They kicked major ass and it was funny they played unholy confession and I had warned my sister earlier that it would get crazy as fuck if they played that song so they get half way through and Matt is screaming for the pits to open up she looks back at me eyes really wide and she launches her self through people and attaches her self to me like a leech I almost died from laughing at her. I really can not even explain how amazing they were and how much I loved their performance and how much seat and energy they put into it and that I did.
Disturbed I have also seen previously and I love them but they were not as good as A7x lol(sorry had to be said). We moved back some for them because we needed to get water all I can say is that it is amazing that I still had my voice after A7X and even more amazing that I still had it after Disturbed. They put on a great show Dave is an excellent showman. They had lots of energy and again were very involved with the crowd. I managed to keep moving for their whole set. They had some sweet video footage behind them and their opening vid was pretty sweet I hadn’t heard the opening song because its off their new album. This one guy kept bumping into me on purpose he was kind of cute so it wasn’t so bad and he wasn’t hurting me I think he just liked being able to talk to me and flirt. All in all it was a wonderful show I have nothing to complain about show wise now the way it was put together I do but I shall not rant about it again lol. We got home around one-ish and I didn’t get to bed until two or later then got back up at six for school.
Speaking of school today was my first day and I don’t know how I feel about it yet I will have to get back to you on that. Missing the first day for the concert though was so worth it!!!!
