I can't deny that.
But it's actually a biblical Hebrew phrase meaning 'God is my judge'.
Dan means judge. La-deen means 'to judge, weigh, discuss' in Hebrew.
Dani therefore means 'my judge'.

There's also a figure in ancient Middle Eastern legend called Danel (usually without the i), who was a just, wise king, giving justice to widows and orphans at the city gate, but had no son until he was finally granted one, Aqhat, by the god El, the father of the gods and also one of the names of God in Hebrew, interestingly enough), according to the "Tale of Aqhat" of Ugaritic legends from about 1500 BC, in what is now Syria. He seems to be the wise, righteous person referred to in the Biblical book of Ezekiel. "Even if these three men--Noah, Danel (or Daniel, in some translations) and Job-were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Lord." (14:14 and again in 14:20). Also, "Are you wiser than Danel (or Daniel)? Is no secret hidden from you?" (Ezekiel 28:3).

Ooh, I didn't know about this Danel person. And I haven't even read through all of Ezekiel, so I didn't come across his name. But thanks for sharing that with me :)
