Good God [or should I say Allah?]!! Why do people send me these ball-numbingly stupid forwards that are the product of some person's joblessness? A simple answer to that would be, 'Because you're on their address book, dummy ( Read more... )

allah, crap, islam, miracle

It's OK. Jesus appears here in the form of shadows, vegetables, popcorn etc. All miracles!

Is your userpic the 'Jesus' picture you're talking about? Because it sure looks like the end result of tornado ripping through a paint shop. Though, I do like the design of the whole thing. It's obviously been worked upon.

Ali hasn't arrived in Dubai yet. He has probably boarded the plane in Istanbul that'll fly him to Dubai in 4 hours. He'll be here in another four and a half hours. I'll be asleep then :)

I'm not sure what happened with the Devanagari script.. do you type directly in Hebrew and English, or do you have to use the symbol function in MS Word? It could be something connected to that.
Ganesh's sitting inside a well snacking on modaks. He loved those, though I've no clue what they are.

As much as I'd have loved to stay up till 2 in the night and pick my brother up from the airport (!), I didn't do it. He's here now, safe and sound and sleepy.

I didn't even see squiggly lines. All I see is grey. =/

Do you also get any of those, "If you aren't ashamed to be a Christian (or Muslim in your former case), you WILL send this to everyone on your mailing list!" emails? Those things are so dumb. "Jesus DIED FOR YOU! Send this email unless you are a godless, heathen!!" *Rolls eyes*

I used to get those a lot. I told off the people who send me that stuff, so I get them less frequently than before. I wonder how forwarding e-mails strengthen's one's faith. If that really does happen, computer technicians and nerds should be the most religious/enlightened people in the world, no?

To such fanatic e-mail, I just laugh to myself and say, "Hell yeah, I AM a heathen! Whatcha gonna do? Can't wait to burn in hell!" :D

Er, hi.

I was looking on one of the communities you're a member of (can't remember which one now) and saw your icon. I went 'ooh. daled' and looked at your music choice. That made me go 'ooh Hebrew music I should recognize' so I clicked on your userinfo. You seem really cool, and I decided to friend you. So I decided to tell you. And here we are now.

Wow. That was a mass of incoherent rambling. Sorry. Anyway. Some random info that I don't believe is on my LJ: I'm from the east coast of the USA, am extremelly liberal (which you could tell from my LJ), and I'm Jewish (both my parents are rabbis. So. Awkward.)

Email me, if you want to. shiakuu_hitome(at)yahoo.com

Hey, Hitome!
Thanks for friending me. I'll add you back.
[I can't believe somebody, other than myself, thinks I'm 'cool'! Haha.]

East Coast, eh? I've only been to New York and New Jersey on the East Coast, and they were a fun couple of cities. I liked the East Coast.
Wow, you're quite a Jewish family.. Mamma rabbi, Papa rabbi and little Hitome.

If you have Yahoo! Messenger or even AIM, please do chat with me some time. My Yahoo! address is danu_luv@yahoo.com and AIM is wickeddanu@aol.com. I'd love to chat. You seem really nice :)

Hitome's not my real name, as I hope you realized. We're liberal/Reform Jews, and aren't I glad of it. My mom's a lesbian, too, so that sort of helps my liberal-ness. I love NYC. I live an hour away from it, by train. Though there's a transit strike now, so it's more like two and a half hours by car.

I haven't really been off the East Coast much in my life. Florida a few times, a bit of New England, but that's pretty much it. My first time out of EST will be this summer, when I'm going to Israel for five weeks.

I prefer Y!IM, and my address is shiakuu_hitome@yahoo.com. Which I believe I already said. Oh well.

Oh.. yeah, I thought Hitome was an odd name for a nice, young Jewish boy. Not that I've heard of older Jewish men with similar names.
I'm so very sorry about the Mamma Rabbi and Papa Rabbi comment. I was feeling crazy. I think it's absolutely faboo [now there's a gay word, if I ever heard one] that you have two mothers - who are both rabbis! As long as they don't impose religious rules, it's all good.

Ooh, Israel in the summer! Do you speak any Hebrew? I'd love to have more friends who are my age with whom I can practise my Hebrew. I already do practise it, but the people who I talk to are usually better at it than I am and their Hebrew is advanced. Oh well, it's still good that you're going to Israel in the summer. Man, I wish I could go too.
