The shitty Arab-Israeli quarrel

The State of Israel is helping an "enemy state" in need. In the Gaza Strip, a waste sink's walls collapsed and flooded the nearby village of Umm al-Nasr, killing five people and flooding over 70% of the homes in the village.
My heart goes out to the Palestinians in need. I know what it feels like to be drowning in sewage. No, really, I do. Back home in Nagpur, when I was little, I had fallen into a sewage pit and had almost died, but a brave soul whom everyone at home calls Gulser chacha saved me. I don't remember my savior's face and neither do I have a detailed memory of the incident, but I still remember how I was covered in filth when I was brought out and how Ammi had taken me to give me a good wash.

It's so ironic, though. Left-wing Israelis tried to bring the Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs closer, but failed. The Palestinian left tried to bring some peace to their little region by working with a people that they despise for occupying their country, and they failed too. Yitzhak Rabin tried and paid with his life. Ariel Sharon tried to help the Palestinians by disengaging from Gaza and the curse of some fundamentalist extremist Jewish settler struck him down. But shit, in all its glory and adhesive power has brought the Palestinians and Israelis to work together. Well done, sewage! We never knew you could be so useful.
