The Interview

I woke up around 04:00 - it was 08:00 in Dubai and my body was tired of sleeping. For some time, I just lay on the bed with my eyes open, worrying about the interview.

Me too, Maria, me too.. it's like my last hope. I don't wanna go to Canada only to have even lesser chances of getting into med school.

It WAS pretty whacky. My father was supposing that the interview is about an hour long or so.. when I corrected this misconception [just one night before the interview, mind you] of his, he was genuinely surprised that we had traveled so far and I had invested so much time for just a 20-minute chat!

You're my rock of hope, mister. Dunno what I'd do without you being there to cheer me up and support me.

How about you learn German and study in Germany? They've got awesome universities.

I don't know about that.. see, I don't have a problem in learning German or anything - hey, it'd only do good things for my resumé! - it's just that the application deadline has probably already passed. I think I'll look at Australian med schools that offer 5-year programs.. they start their courses in January 'cause they're in the southern hemisphere and January is summer there, haha.

You can always apply next year. :P Like me, I'm going to study in Germany, but a year after I graduate school. Learning time. Portfolio time.
