Long day
Yesterday was such a long day! Right from the experiment in the Biology lab to cleaning the beach sand off my pants at night..
Hokay, so my experiment in the Biology lab went a little haywire. I ground the leaves alright, I set the apparatus alright, I even prepared the hydrogen peroxide solution alright. But guess what? I chose the wrong size of the bung for the conical flask - it was too small. So instead of the oxygen escaping into the tube connected to the gas syringe, the oxygen escaped from the top of the flask which wasn't properly sealed! So like a fool, I was standing there with the stopwatch in one hand and a pencil in the other, waiting for the damn gas syringe to move and give me a reading. I think it collected like 10ml of oxygen in total.
I had to do it all over again, and this time around, I got really crazy readings. The gas syringe went nuts as soon as I poured the hydrogen peroxide over the leaf extract in the conical flask and in the first five seconds, it collected 40ml! In about half a minute, the plunger was about to fall out of the syringe, so I removed the tube from the conical flask to stop the oxygen from collecting in the syringe. Phew! I should prob'ly use more diluted hydrogen peroxide.
Anyways.. Yousuf and Abhishek came home with me because we were going to the Mall of the Emirates for my birthday celebration. Nicholas, Ruth and Sheban came too, as well as Mahesh and people from school. We bowled for like forty minutes or so. Mahesh insisted on throwing the ball in the wrong lane, one that wasn't working at the moment and then smiling at me. It really really pissed me off because all my friends were watching, but I just had to calm myself down and Mahesh too.
We then had dinner at KFC. Well, I didn't, of course.
After dinner, Nick and friends took Abeer, Masooma, Arjun and me to Thunderbowl to play some pool. That was fun, because I sucked like my usual self at pool. Nick was my stool for the night. I punished his thigh by sitting on it for minutes at a stretch.
We parted ways there - Nick, Ruth and Sheban went home and the rest of us went to the beach with Masooma's friends. We stayed a while, though we really should've gone home earlier - it was 0030!
Fun night. This time, I kissed both of Nick's cheeks without my trunk of a nose getting in the way. I can't thank him enough, you know.. he planned all this out. I wouldn't have thought of doing this if it weren't for him.
That's my roommate, Arjun, on the left. I have the ability to strike fear into his heterosexual heart by talking to him about gay sex or even better, gay sex with him.
