Confusion

First day of school today.
It wasn't as grand as I thought it would be.

We started out by gathering in the Main Hall for 'a few words' by Sister Anne Marie, Mr D'Souza and Mr Paul. They kept passing the mic around to each other while we, the listeners, we getting restless in our seats [and some of us really had to pee]. They were just telling us how we had to get As or Bs or Cs at least and how we had to behave ourselves and how we had to obey deadlines blah blah blahdi blah.
Right after they finished reciting their epic-style speeches, we got our time-tables. As it turned out, I'm in section A for Chemistry as well as Biology. My Chemistry teacher is Mrs Anita Verghese, a no-bullshit teacher by the looks of it. My Biology classes are divided unequally between Mrs Augustine [apparently the best Biology teacher for A-levels] and Mr Abdul Majeed.
Most of my male friends seem to be with me in either or both of the classes. My female friends are all in different classes, even though we were told that Chemistry classes would be co-ed. Though, Yousuf was stuck with all the gals in his Chemistry class and he didn't like it.

Anyways, Sister Anne Marie decided to be very kind and gave us an unasked-for extended recess of 45 minutes.. out in the sweltering heat of mid-September Dubai. Ah well, at least I got to be with my friends.

The A/C in the Chemistry classroom wasn't working, so we were shifted to another room where around 40 people were herded in. Then Mr Paul came in and asked the boys who were in Biology 'A' to go to the next room to their new Biology classes as the time-table had been changed and now our teacher had changed. So, we picked our baggage up [yes, baggage] and off we went.
Twenty minutes in the Biology class, when we'd just begun to get acquainted with the teacher, Mr Paul popped in again and asked us to make some changes in our time-table. Then Rayner asked him why we were in the Biology class if we had Chemistry and Mr Paul shrugged and told us to go back to the crowded Chemistry room.

This confusion went on for a bit until there were just 10 minutes to go for the last period to end. That's when the Chemistry teacher decided that she had to start teaching some serious stuff. So we started with atomic structure.
