Entry time!
I know, I suck at updating this thing. Well, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth (yet). Just doing the school thing.
I went on 2 (count 'em: TWO) tournament trips in March. One to women's Big 10 basketball, which was awesome because we won 2 games and were able to stay from Thursday - Sunday. That never happens. Nobody on the trip with me, including people who were there for their 5th year, had been able to stay. It was in Indianapolis, which was a pretty fun city overall. Not to mention that we ended up with just over $100 in per diem.
The second trip was to Boise which, dare I say, was even MORE fun. We got to fly there with the team and when we got to our hotel at 4:30 we were essentially given $75 and told to go do whatever we wanted for 2 full days. AWESOME. We went to the Boise zoo and to run around on the Boise State smurf turf (blue football field) and eat at some great restaurants and see the LIBRARY! (it had an exclamation point on the building!). I also went out to some pretty sweet bars which were great times, especially Humpin' Hannah's. Don't let the name fool you! It was like an Applebee's gone wild, tons of shit on the walls, had a great in-house band that played a good mix of songs. I danced! And it was fun! Thankfully the people I was with don't dance as skanky as the kids did in our high school... lol.
So now it's back to school, which is totally not interesting and I will not bore you with it. I'm gearing up for my trip to Africa, which IS cool, and I'm pumped about. 3 weeks, baby! I can't wait to go teach some orphans how to not get AIDs.... with CONDOMS. Take that, pope!
