Icon Tutorial No. 3: Oruha

I love making icons with this luscious picture of Oruha from CLAMP's Clover. She just looks so sensuous and gorgeous--you can't resist adding to that beauty! As always, 10 Steps--Purty Icon!

Level: Easy
Program: Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (may be tranferable)

Can I just asked why you do step 10 like you do? Couldn't you just add the border over the image and save it like that instead of saving it twice?

Of course you can XD I prefer to save it twice because the base layer can sometimes be corrupted by a texture, or you can accidently move the image so that there's too much space on the sides, etc.etc. But really, it's whatever you feel is most comfortable.

...So. Pretty! Man, I suck a hell of a lot at icons, and I think this is the first time I've seen someone make something that I might be able to do in PS7(which is what I have access to). So allow me to be the first to say THANK YOU! ^_^

I used to have Corel Paint, since I have a tablet, how do you add layers? (But now i have photoshop! It works alot better)
