Updating because 1) I got nudged, 2) this is my first time on LJ I think since I left for NY at the beginning of the summer, and 3) this is my first full day back home since the end of the summer -- my contract ended Wednesday ::tears::
The summer was long and hard. Sometimes made me want to kill myself. Sometimes made me want to kill other people. Sometimes made me very happy. Ended up being another Berea takeover -- Ami Shupe (Mary Ann Shupe's daughter) designed costumes for "The Music Man", and Sarah E. Plummer was our Wardrobe Intern for that same production (YAY) before going up to Rhode Island to start her Electrics internship at Trinity Rep. It was really sad to leave at the end of the summer, especially since I got really close with some new people, and now I don't even know when I'll see them again. I guess it's just more of the same, since we have to deal with the same kind of thing since we've left college and our friends from there are all over the country\world.
BUT this means that I'm back in Knoxville for the time being! I expect to very soon get out and start looking for a job, before my work ethic begins to wane, as it does so well when I'm sitting around this house. Now that I have a car and feel comfortable driving, I expect to do much less sitting around than I did last year. I hope to find a Theatre job sometime soon, which of course means I may not even be in Knoxville for too long, but I doubt there will be many to find at this time of the year. At the very least, I can maybe audition or volunteer at some local theatres. I may send them all my resume and a letter of introduction, should they have an opening or need overhire.
But since this is pretty much for Cassie, because I think she's the only one who reads this, we should hang someday soon. Maybe go get some lunch or something next week, if you aren't too busy. I already feel like I'm just a ball of energy rattling around in this house, ready to find something to do! If you don't have my cell number, either comment or send me a message on Facebook. Love!
