Ohhhhkay, I'm a total lackey because I never update this. I admit I've gotten sucked into MySpace and Facebook, and I pretty much update there... and I know that a certain Heartnut who posts here has a MySpace, but I haven't friended her there for no other reason but that there are certain people that she is friends with there that I am a bit... eekish, shall we say, about being that closely connected to. It has nothing to do with Miss C. at all.
Things have been pretty laid back here, in general. This "semester" (still thinking like a student!), I've made a total of 5 trips to Berea... three that were only weekend trips, one that was nearly 1 1/2 weeks, and another that was a day or two longer than that, but was really a trip to Virginia (I went to Berea, but then to VA and then back before going home again). In the midst of all that, I have started a very fledgling relationship with a man whom I very much admire (but don't worry, I'm not a sappy goof so I won't talk about it), taken the first in what I hope will be several cake decorating classes (don't know when I'll take more, though), taught a few beginning Theatre classes to some homeschoolers (my little brother's group), and succeeded in *not* finding (or looking for, for that matter) a real job. However, I leave this weekend (Sunday, most like) to drive up to Auburn for yet another summer at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. Should be insane fun. I seriously am SO ready to get back on track... I miss Theatre like... like the Headless Horseman missed his head. Only he couldn't get back his head, but I *can* get back to MGR. And YAY, I start work a week from today! WOOOO!
So that's pretty much it. I'm trying to get back in the frame of mind of someone who's actually working, not working at sleeping half the day and playing video games. Because really, I've worked a lot this year, but like 98% of it's been in this house. Especially before I got my license. And the time schedule here's a lot different... for instance, today I sat and tied bows for 4 hours while watching 2 episodes of "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?" and the movie "Guilty Conscience". I only finally stopped b\c 1) there was nothing else on to watch and 2) if I tied one more bow I was going to puke. Then I did the dishes. I'm not as good as I used to be, either... a few months ago, you would've caught me doing heavy housework b\c I was bored... but I'm just tired of it. I still help out, sure, but it's just not my thing to stay in the house all day and clean, but I don't want to go out either b\c going out = needing money.
I love working at MGR b\c you know exactly what you're doing all the time (well, you're either working, eating, or sleeping), but at least there's a slight change of scenery. And when it all gets to be too much, you can go swing behind the theatre and look out at the lake, or chase the seagulls. And I'm the only one I have to wash dishes for, so I don't mind it... though I hate roommates (haha, Cassie knows I don't live well with people!). The worst was last summer when it was just Betsy and I, and she spilled bacon grease all over the counter and never cleaned it up. Like 2 weeks later, we were having an inspection the next day, and *I* had to scrub it up with lots of hot soapy water. I'm a vegetarian! I shouldn't have to ever do that anyway! And then she had the nerve to walk through, get something to eat (on the dishes that I'd just washed b\c she'd left them in the sink earlier) and make some crack about "Wow, you're really going to town!" Yeah, slutbunny, b\c I'm not getting fined for the mess you left! Grr... anyway.
Haha, Cassie, hope you're happy you nudged me and told me to update. I wanted to make it nice and long and juicy for you, since I think you're the only person in the world who reads this. Everyone's *so* Facebook and MySpace now... though I wish they had some of the features of LiveJournal, like the way the Friends page is laid out. I really think all 3 sites should get married and have a baby that is the ultimate friending-journaling site in the WORLD. Maybe I should introduce them... wouldn't THAT be a story for the grandkids.
