Heroes 2x05 - Fight or Flight

I loved Matt and Nathan teaming up! It seems whenever Matt teams up with someone it's always made of win. People think he's such a boring average Joe character but I love him. I liked him in Alias too and then he had to go and leave and we were stuck with the bland Vaughn. Matt's father - what a piece of work!

I was so freaked out when Matt suddenly found himself locked in a jail cell and that guard was talking all weird. It reminded me of like 1x03 of Twin Peaks when Cooper has that dream with Laura and The Man From Another Place is there talking backwards. That scared the hell out of me for some reason. And Nathan fighting his burned self and it turning out that Matt and Nathan were actually fighting one another, that was cool.

Peter's storyline I've always found interesting, not exactly riveting, but good nonetheless. I'm glad he's coupled with Caitlin now. Bad accent aside, I really like her. Seems like they'll be leaving Ireland and going to Canada now, which = YAY, because really they were doing a bad imitation of Ireland.

I didn't find Elle particularly interesting. She basically seemed like Veronica Mars but with electricity shooting out of her fingers. She had the same snark and darkness as Veronica, and it doesn't help that they've got the same fashion sense either. I would've preferred if Elle was someone really sweet and nice, who felt bad about killing or was being forced to or something. This 'I'm a bad girl and I like it' thing isn't impressing me.

I liked the plot with The 12 though and finding out who's murdering them all. Right, theory - in the photo of The 12, Mr Petrelli's head is turned so you can't really see his face. His hair is pale and short though and his face is similar to Kensei's. Since Kensei can regenerate and so can Claire, does anyone think that Kensei is Nathan and Peter's father and Claire's grandfather? Maybe the regeneration power leads to really long life... I don't know.

And I really liked Monica and Micah. Their storyline was so cute. I had no idea that the actor who plays Micah is actually like a modern day child Mozart and has played piano all over the world, and is also a certified genius who (at 11 I may add) is a freshman in high school. Whoa.

Pushing Daisies 1x03 - The Fun in Funeral

Chuck's dresses were SO PRETTY. I love 50's dresses like that. WHERE can I find some, tell me people!!!!! Every episode of PD so far has been fun, but this was very good - especially when Chuck kissed Ned using cling film to separate their lips so they didn't touch. Oh how I laughed.

Basically the undertaker that died so Chuck could live had been stealing things from bodies with his twin brother and the relative of a man whose civil war sword was stolen confronted the living twin. That twin choked and the guy put the body in Ned's fridge to frame him! This relative was an Asian man with a really thick Southern accent, which was so funny. When he and Ned had that sword fight I was cracking up.

1x04 - Pigeon

A crop duster flies into an apartment and crashes after an escaped convict jumps on it. Ned gets all cute and jealous when the escaped convict (they don't know who he was at the time) makes friends with Chuck. Ned chases escaped convict and pulls off his wooden arm, accidentally hitting himself in the forehead with it (FUNNY).

This episode is WAY too difficult to summarise as there's a subplot with Olive and a carrier pigeon that was actually the convict's pigeon carrying a message to his sweetheart... Yeah. But it was really really fun and colourful. And at the end, Ned and Chuck put on bee suits and they dance on the roof of Ned's pie shop and because Chuck's all little and petite, big giant man Ned swings her around off her feet and I think my heart MELTED at this point.

OMG, I knew I recognised the man who played the convict! He played Benvolio in Romeo + Juliet! *head smack* DUH.

Ghost Whisperer 3x01 - 3x04

YAY for GH! I love this show! It's adorable. The first two season admittedly weren't exactly riveting. Every episode in season 1 was the same - Melinda meets a ghost, ghost had unfinished business, Melinda talks to ghost's family, ghost goes into the light. Season 2 mixed it up with that professor guy that she went to for help and had much better mysteries. Season 3 is even better so far. The old forumla is kind of gone, and it's less Touched By an Angel and more Supernatural.

It's gotten a lot scarier, and there's not so much emotional crap with Melinda talking to the ghost's relatives about love and the light etc etc *blegh* I would watch the show anyway even if it hadn't gotten better, because I think Jennifer Love Hewitt is a teeny little beauty. I love her character's outfits and she's such a good actress. Now, why can't I find the flowy, curve-accenting clothes for short people that she wears?

(Also her husband is a fox. I want him. Now.)

Robin Hood 2x03 - Childhood

RH just keeps getting better. It's honestly so much more fun than last series. Once you ignore the historical inaccuracies and just take it for an action/adventure, it's so much more fun.

*shiver* I hate Guy. HATE HIM. God, some people in the RH fandom have the Spike syndrome. Some Buffy fans are viciously protective of Spike and ship him with Buffy endlessly, despite how he stalked her, tried to rape her, previously was her arch nemesis etc etc. Guy tried to force Marian into marriage, he burned her house, he's put her under house arrest... and what do you know, there's people proclaiming their Guy love all over the gaff. Just like with Spike it's only because he's hot. That's it. Guy actually has NO redeeming qualities. Not one.

I liked the extended action sequence with Robin and the gang trying to save the boys and fighting off the guards. It was very long, but very well done. Argh - Allan's falling deeper into Guy's manipulation. Seems like he's going to turn on the gang completely in the next few weeks and start working for Guy outright, if the press releases are anything to go by.

Well - it's all the more drama for us. I'm looking forward to Allan redeeming himself and all that. I think RObin may confront him and Allan will end up doing to opposite of what he's been doing - instead of working with the gang and secretly reporting to Guy, he might, after a crisis of conscience, work for Guy and report to Robin and the gang. That should be fun to see. Plus I'm just glad Joe Armstrong's getting more lines and an actua individual plot this series.

It's weird seeing Harry Lloyd aka Will playing such a background character who doesn't do much after seeing him on Doctor Who and realising just HOW brilliant of an actor he is. His potential is wasted in RH, but next week's ep looks like a Will-centric one finally. I hope we get more Will/Djaq this year, if only to give Harry something more to do, and show off his acting chops in a romantic role.

And will the fucking gang ever stop getting onto Much? He's the best of them all. *pouts* But in the promo for next week, Much is being carried out dead on stretcher, so either he is or he's faking, and then it cuts to Robin looking emo. Maybe he thinks Much is dead and regrets being an ass to him? I hope Much is okay anyway. And will he ever take that cap off? His hair rocks, it's all golden and swept back and pretty.

Marian's green dress was also the sex in this episode. She's got much better costumes this year. At least most of it's not from TopShop like in series 1.
ALSO: Very good Ten/Martha fics by the Ten/Martha queen Flaignhan.

Another Day At the Office: Very funny fic from the POV of Martha's receptionist Sian at her doctor's surgery. For some reason a skinny man in a suit and a gorgeous American in an RAF coat keep popping up and asking Doctor Jones for help...

One More For The Road: Ten and Martha are in Vegas in 1962 to see the Rat Pack perform... but something isn't quite right. Lots of fun Ten/Martha moments, and some seriousness as well. Very subtle moments that really reflect their on screen relationship as well. Very in character.
