06 March: Helen knocked on the door this morning. It was nice to see her and we went for a short walk together, catching up and finding wildflowers. We had to turn around when it got too hot. In fact, I was too hot for much of the day.
I had hoped to get some programming in, but I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that the current, intense session of programming is over with. I have come to a logical stopping-point, but I could have used another month. On the other hand, I’ve been saying that for two years.

DH replaced two seals in the rear brake of the bike, and I helped fetch and carry from time to time. I also spent several hours going through the draft journey I had planned out last week and getting the waypoints for every snarf between here and our camp host destination. I’m excited about it. We’re going to get to see some really neat places.

In the evening, I had a lovely surprise. Steph, one of my first even friends-from-snarfing, included me in her “quirky list of female travel bloggers who rock my world” over at
A Nerd at Large. This got me hustling to set up a mailing list on Raven’s Roads in case I was suddenly overrun with neat female travel bloggers and their friends.
This was cross-posted from Raven's Roads. You can comment here or there, but if you could bring yourself to comment there rather than here, that would be very nice.
