I haven't been in much of a writing mood lately, and my LiveJournal updates have become few and far between - with the exception of the Project 365 stuff, of course. I'm still amazed that I've kept on top of that for this long! Though I need to build up a better buffer. I usually write the week's entries all at once on Sunday night. If I could just do 2-3 per day, I'd be golden.
So when I don't update much, I tend to write about a lot of things at once and create really random entries. :-) This will be one of those! I decided to challenge myself yesterday, in the interest of saving money. Publix had their Halloween candy on sale - buy one, get one free. I bought two bags of Kit Kats and two bags of M&Ms. The challenge, for me, will be to resist eating any of it until Halloween, when I'll hopefully give all of it away to the neighborhood kids (or possibly
their deadbeat parents). I'm taking an out of sight, out of mind approach - the candy is currently stashed in one of my kitchen cabinets that I almost never have to open.
Yesterday I got my first piece of anti-Obama mail from the McCain campaign. I'm actually really surprised that it took this long! I captured the momentous occasion on video:

Early voting has already begun here in Florida, but I'm waiting until November 4th. I'm really lucky to have an awesome polling place; there's never any lines at all!
What else? Oh - I emailed my buddy John to see if I could possibly come and visit him in Boston during the weekend before Thanksgiving. I have a free ticket from US Airways, provided I travel on certain dates. It looks like I'd fly up on Wednesday, November 19, and fly back on Monday, November 24. I'm going to take the week of the 24th off anyway, since it's only three days. I'm not sure if my parents are going to come up for Thanksgiving this year or not - I may end up going down there. If this trip falls through, I'm going to try to make it back up to New York to hang with Demetrios for a few. I've just got the traveling bug right now; it feels like I need to go somewhere! :-)
