No matter what she may say about me, I will always cling to the idea that, somewhere inside her, there is someone just as capable of love and kindness as anyone else.
I'm not necessarily sure she's a good person deep down, but she is a person. She strikes me as incredibly scared, and not just of the recent prankster. Whether it's others or herself she's afraid of, I don't know.

I'm sure that's why people are very successful psychologists, Rose. The study of the mind and the unconscious can show exact reasons for why someone is acting the way they are, especially if they don't want to admit it or don't even realize it.
Who knows. My optimistic side says that. My psychology side says she's scared (like Seith said) and so to hide how scared she really is, she puts up a front for everyone else to see and so that people will be scared of her instead and she'll feel better about herself.
