I thought I'd write about something that isn't a complaint.  Nature.  Nature is cool.  I watched this French movie called MicroCosmos that is basically a documentary about the insect world but without any narration.  It's just pure video footage of this tiny little world.  And to see it in DVD quality on a 60" HDTV is just incredible.  When you can ( Read more... )

You should check out the Planet Earth DVD series. They're available in HD/BluRay and they look incredible.

oh they're in bluray too? i think my ps3 just quivered...

I kept telling jenn "oh you'll lose image quality with the dvd!" but now... hmm.

also, Mike, the flowers better work harder. the bees are disappearing!

we were watching that series on discovery HD at the same time that i was taking my graduate ecology class. very very cool. it turns out our planet's full of amazing stuff. who knew? hope we don't ruin it all!

i suggested buying the DVD cuz our tivo didn't record every episode for some reason, but matt gave the above argument. matt, is bluray close enough to the quality we'd get from HD?
