John 3
14 - And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 - And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 - And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
The church i go to had Tibetan rugs, all strewn throughout the auditorium, for sale.
The proceeds go to the women that made them, who are employed by missionaries.
They also have CDs in the lobby, of the praise band, for sale
As many Christians know: this isn't odd; most churches have things for sale in their lobbies; especially visting missionaries and evangelists with their tee-shirts and trinkets.
It's like they just read the Bible and then do whatever they want, justifying it with their motives.
The doves adn sheep and oxen were sold as sacrifices in the Temple: their motives could be argued to be 'right' but in the end it was just about making a buck, in the Temple of God
